Lupus Awareness Charity Brunch

What is lupus?

Lupus is a chronic (long-term) disease that can cause inflammation and pain in any part of your body. It’s an autoimmune disease, which means that your immune system — the body system that usually fights infections — attacks healthy tissue instead. There is treatment, but no cure.

All proceeds will be donated to Cryptic Wings (a local charity) and LUPUS Foundation of America. 

Why is this important to Modern Party Art?

Sammy, Modern Party Art's artist and co-owner, is a Lupus Warrior.  

What to expect?

Everyone should wear purple! There will be a panel of successful warrior stories while you are painting on a predrawn 16x20 canvas.  We will be painting butterflies to represent Lupus.  Light snacks and juice (for your mimosas 🙃) will be served.  This is a BYOB event. Bring your favorite bottle of wine or champagne.

Sammy, The Lupus warrior, artist, and instructor will be giving instruction and walking around to help everyone individually.  Smooth Jazz music will be playing as you get into the groove of your painting. 

Sammy has a painting titled "Lupita" and prints will be available for purchase.  All proceeds will be donated to Cryptic Wings.
