Modern Party Art
Terms & Conditions

By booking an event or purchasing services with Modern Party Art (“MPA”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Booking & Payment Terms
  • A $200 booking fee is required to secure your event date and time.

  • The booking fee will be applied toward your total balance.

  • The booking fee is fully refundable only if cancellation is requested in writing within 24 hours of booking.

  • After 24 hours, the booking fee becomes non-refundable.

  • Clients may choose to make additional payments toward their balance in advance.

    • Any additional payments made beyond the booking fee are also non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • The remaining balance and any add-ons are due at the conclusion of your event.

2. Refund & Credit Policy
  • No refunds or credits will be issued for:

    • Booking fees (after 24 hours)

    • Partial or full payments

    • Add-ons or additional services

    • No-shows, late arrivals, or unused time

    • Guests who do not participate

  • If your event ends early for any reason, no refunds or credits will be provided.

  • If you have unused personalized or pre-printed materials, you are welcome to take them home since they have been paid for.

    • No additional supplies or materials will be included with these items.

  • If MPA cancels an event due to circumstances within its control, a reschedule or studio credit will be issued.

3. Rescheduling Policy
  • One (1) reschedule is permitted if requested at least 3 weeks prior to the event date.

  • Requests made within 3 weeks of the event will result in forfeiture of the booking fee.

  • MPA will make every reasonable effort to hold all scheduled events regardless of weather, as the studio is:

    • Heated and air-conditioned

    • Located near street parking and a public lot

  • MPA reserves the right to reschedule events due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances, and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a comparable date and time.

4. Parking Information
  • Street parking is available near the studio.

  • A public parking lot is located nearby for additional convenience.

  • Guests are responsible for following all posted parking regulations.

5. Ticket Policy (If Applicable)
  • Only tickets purchased directly through the Modern Party Art website are valid.

  • MPA is not responsible for tickets purchased through third parties, vendors, or outside hosts.

  • Tickets obtained outside of official MPA channels may be denied entry.

6. Arrival & Event Timing
  • Hosts may arrive up to 30 minutes early for setup.

  • Guests must arrive at the scheduled start time.

  • Events will begin no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled time, regardless of guest arrival.

  • Late arrivals may impact the experience and completion of activities.

  • Event time will not be extended under any circumstances.

  • All events must end as scheduled due to other bookings.

7. Guest Count, Packages & Walk-In Policy
  • Private events are booked based on package tiers:

    • Up to 15 guests

    • Up to 25 guests

    • Up to 50 guests

  • The host is responsible for the full package selected, regardless of actual attendance.

    • No discounts or adjustments will be made for fewer guests.

Walk-In Option:

  • Guests may choose to attend as walk-ins instead of booking a private event:

    • Pay per craft

    • First come, first served (space not guaranteed)

    • Available for groups of 1–14 guests only

    • Groups larger than 14 must book a private event

  • Walk-in guests:

    • Must complete waivers

    • Are not permitted to bring outside beverages

    • Are allotted 90 minutes of table time

    • May move to the lounge area after 90 minutes (free of charge)

    • If total time exceeds 2 hours, guests may be asked to leave if space is needed

8. What’s Included (Private Events)

Your event includes:

  • Private studio space

  • Up to 2 support staff members

  • All materials for art or STEM projects

  • Step-by-step instruction

  • Tablecloths and setup

  • A designated table for food and gifts

For birthday celebrations:

  • Birthday gift

  • Personalized apron

  • Custom digital backdrop

Food & Drinks Included:

  • Cheese pizza (approximately 2 slices per child)

  • Water and/or juice boxes

Additional Beverages:

  • Sodas and specialty non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase

  • Menu items change frequently and are not guaranteed in advance

  • Guests may visit the studio prior to the event to view current offerings

  • All applicable taxes are included.

9. Food & Beverage Policy
  • Outside food must be approved in advance.

  • Please email MPA with a list of items you plan to bring.

Important:

  • MPA does not provide refrigeration for guest use

  • Please confirm all items ahead of time, especially if not clearly permitted

Permitted (with approval):

  • Cake or cupcakes

  • Charcuterie boards

  • Fruit platters

Not permitted:

  • Hot food

  • Ice cream

  • Outside beverages

All beverages must be purchased through MPA.

10. Alcohol Policy
  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited.

  • Any alcohol must be removed immediately.

Violations may result in:

  • A minimum $500 fee

  • Immediate event termination

  • Permanent ban from future bookings

11. Decorations

Permitted:

  • Balloons

  • Up to two (2) tablecloths

Not permitted:

  • Confetti

  • Wall decorations (tape, pins, adhesives)

Backdrops must be free-standing.

12. Host Responsibility & Supervision
  • The host must remain on-site for the entire event.

  • The host is responsible for all guests and supervision.

  • If a child is under age 4:

    • A responsible adult must be present

    • If the host is not staying, another adult may be assigned (see waiver requirements)

13. Safety, Conduct & Liability
  • All children must be properly supervised and behave appropriately.

  • Running, unsafe behavior, or disruption is not permitted.

  • Unruly or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the studio without refund.

  • The host may be financially responsible for any damages caused to the studio or materials.

  • MPA is not liable for:

    • Injuries resulting from misuse of materials

    • Lost or stolen items

14. Guest Waiver Requirement
  • All participants must have a completed waiver prior to participation.

  • Guests without waivers cannot participate.

  • One waiver covers up to 4 children per household.

  • Additional children require a new form.

Host Responsibility:

  • The host is responsible for sharing and ensuring all waivers are completed in advance.

15. Photo & Video Policy
  • By attending, you consent to photo and video recording.

  • Media may be used for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes.

  • To opt out, notify MPA in writing before your event.

  • MPA will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee full exclusion.

16. Prohibited Conduct

Violations may result in:

  • Fees ($500+)

  • Event termination

  • Ban from future bookings

17. General Agreement

By booking with Modern Party Art, you agree to all terms above.

MPA reserves the right to enforce all policies to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
